Even if the car is losing the driver wins every time.

What a spectacular race car this is!

This literally made me giggle. I want an XJS so badly.

The way I’ve got things worked out, I already know how to work on Jag suspensions and by the time the current project is done I’ll be nearly an expert on fiddly fuel injection systems and badly-cooled aluminum blocks. Not to mention I’ve had a good run of experience with crappy electrics on the Rovers and fiddly “luxury” systems on Benzes. To throw all that away by *not* getting an XJS V12 would be, well, silly.

the cars had quite mild exhaust tones from the factory: don’t want to spoil the refined image of a jaaag. but a little tweaking and the sound is amazing. side pipes + no resonators/mufflers/cats should work.

That’s my plan for when I get one :) alas, I don’t think I’ll plump for the V12 (higher entry price, extortionate fuel costs and I’ve already got a 4.0l AJ6 sitting in my garage).

However, I’ll be damned if a proper bundle of snakes, a set of ITBs and some side pipes won’t make a 4.0l Jag I6 sound like a TVR :)

Exactly. All your training up until this point has been leading to a V12 XJS. It’s your destiny :)

5.3 V12 will do that :)

Nooo :( if I was in your country I’d be knocking down your door with whatever change I could find in my Citroen’s dedicated change drawer :)

That old final straight at Bathurst is so much better than what they have now.
